Rule 7
To recommend to the President for approval along with the decision of the Government of Nepal
: (1) Upon examining the documents received from the department in accordance with Rule 6, if it is found necessary to reduce the imprisonment of the prisoner in accordance with Section 37 of the Act and this regulation, the Ministry shall recommend the Government of Nepal for the decision to reduce the imprisonment of such prisoner. , the proposal will have to be submitted to the Council of Ministers.
(2) The Ministry may submit a proposal for a decision related to imprisonment under sub-rule (1) up to four times a year.
(3) If the proposal received under sub-rule (1) is deemed appropriate, the Government of Nepal, the Council of Ministers shall decide to reduce the imprisonment of the offender and recommend it to the President for approval.
(4) In accordance with sub-rule (3) of the recommendation of the Government of Nepal, if the imprisonment of an offender is severed by the President, the Government of Nepal shall notify the Council of Ministers thereof.
(2) The Ministry may submit a proposal for a decision related to imprisonment under sub-rule (1) up to four times a year.
(3) If the proposal received under sub-rule (1) is deemed appropriate, the Government of Nepal, the Council of Ministers shall decide to reduce the imprisonment of the offender and recommend it to the President for approval.
(4) In accordance with sub-rule (3) of the recommendation of the Government of Nepal, if the imprisonment of an offender is severed by the President, the Government of Nepal shall notify the Council of Ministers thereof.
